This 2-page ad touts 3Com's top score in a Communications Week test of routers. The ad was targeted to network managers. The campaign included a direct mail piece with white paper offer.
 

What Does a 3Com Switch Give You That Cisco Can't ?
This 2-page ad was 3Com's first-ever competitive ad and featured the results of a switching performance study. The performance data was linked to Cisco's web site (until they discovered it and removed the link...) A direct mail campaign was also created around the ad theme and sent to network managers. The ad was translated into 8 languages.

"Friday Night" Switching Ad - Award Winner
The objective of this 2-page ad was to introduce 3Com's new switching ASIC technology to network managers.  A direct mail campaign was created around the ad theme. Unaided awareness of 3Com as a switching vendor increased 12% after this campaign ran.

Before Boundary Routing - Award Winner
This 2-page ad was one of three customer testimonial ads done to promote 3Com's Boundary Routing remote access technology. The ads were photographed at the real customer locations.
